A research group at the Institute of Nuclear Medicine, University College London Hospitals, Miles et al recently published an article entitled, “Multifunctional Imaging Signature for V-KI-RAS2 Kirsten Rat Sarcoma Viral Oncogene Homolog (KRAS) Mutations in Colorectal Cancer”, in the March 2014 edition of the Journal of Nuclear Medicine.

An illustration from the paper of the multi-parametric image analysis using Texrad based CT texture analysis, FDG-PET glucose uptake and CT perfusion employed in the study to differentiate colorectal cancer patients with KRAS mutation from Wild-Type was the cover page of the journal.
